How to Build a Wedding Day Timeline
A useful wedding-day schedule starts with the events that cannot move easily, especially the ceremony and the reception end time. From there, work backward through arrival, portraits, getting dressed and beauty services, then build the reception forward through cocktail hour, dinner and formalities.
This generator uses that same structure. Suggested durations are planning defaults, not universal rules. Your photographer, venue, planner, beauty team, caterer and other professionals may need different timing based on your specific wedding.
Protect fixed moments such as the ceremony before filling flexible blocks around them.
Account for actual movement between getting-ready, photo, ceremony and reception locations.
Leave breathing room around transitions instead of scheduling every minute back-to-back.
